The GaGAs – GGA’s Audience Development Awards 2009
There is some promising and inspiring audience development work going on throughout Scotland. Some organisations are planning new initiatives, some are half way to their goals and others are reflecting on the end of a project or initiative. We like to share some of this insight with you through our annual awards – the GaGAs:

Audience Development Initiative of the Year Award
1. BBC SSO
- Listen Here! A concentrated summer mini-festival of orchestral music in all its shapes, forms and styles featuring seven concerts over four days, all free.
2. RSNO
- Close Encounters: A one-week, three concert project exploring the musical synergies that occur when a symphony orchestra performs with artists from other genres.
3. Young Audiences Scotland
- A pilot audience development project for the children and young people’s theatre sector
